Training like our ancestors and bringing back the old ways that were gone but not forgotten

Is there a test of strength more pure than putting the wind beneath a natural stone?

(Tiny Tara)

Heavy lifting came through determination to be around horses. Lifting hay bales and wheel barrows was just part of the daily routine to prove myself. A life long passion and commitment. Genetically I may have been blessed but what I chose to do with that is what really mattered. Sport was always a past time for good mental health but only when I started going to gyms seriously in my early twenties did things start to take off. I competed in one Northern Ireland miss fitness and got fourth place in Ireland. Then I started into Muay Thai and Krav Maga more seriously. I started working in private security work around the world and that always required good strength conditioning. In 2020 I started Armwrestling and now hold three Irish Champion titles and a second UK ArmGods title. Whilst training as a professional arm wrestler in Resurgence Gym Lurgan I became gladly aquatinted with the Irish stone lifting monsters. From day one they have always welcomed me in like family and allowed me to take part as much as I liked. Encouraging me to take part in the first stone lifting qualifier 2025, I got second place, putting me through for the four nations in September 2026. Since all strength lifting ties together I also compete in strong woman on a more novice level and also compete in grip lifting competitions. Currently holding 3 world records, 2 British and one Irish.
